Winner of the Excellence in Translational Medicine Award announced

We
are pleased to announce that
Dr Xinmei Zhu, a Research Associate in the Department of
Neurological Surgery

at the
University
of Pittsburgh School of Medicine
, has been awarded the Journal of Translational Medicine Excellence in
Translational Medicine Award
for 2006-07.

The award, which endeavours to recognise
outstanding contributions to the field of
translational medicine research, was given to Dr Zho as
first author of the following article published in
Journal of Translational Medicine:

Toll like receptor-3 ligand poly-ICLC promotes the
efficacy of peripheral vaccinations with tumor antigen-derived peptide epitopes

the award, Dr Zhu will receive
a $2,500 prize sponsored
by Pfizer Global Research and Development
and Global Translational Medicine to
