The study of biomarkers has evolved rapidly in the advance of personalized medicine and individual health. As a result, identification and validation of biomarkers in drug discovery and development, as well as in disease diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention now plays an essential role in the genome era.

Biomarker Research is a new, open access, peer-reviewed online journal that encompasses all aspects of biomarker investigation. Edited by Chung-Tsen Hsueh (Loma Linda University) and Delong Liu (New York Medical College),  Biomarker Research aims to publish original discovery, novel concepts, commentaries and reviews related to biomarker investigation in various biomedical disciplines.
