Elena Martin is an analyst at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, Associate in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a medical student at Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. Matthew Shearer is a Senior Analyst at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His primary research and practice interests include infectious disease outbreak and epidemic response, healthcare and public health resilience for high-consequence infectious disease events, biological weapons nonproliferation policy, and exercise development and implementation.
