John Berini & Catherine Badgley

John Berini is a PhD candidate in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at the University of Minnesota and a former graduate research fellow with the Environmental Protection Agency. For his PhD, he is studying how increasing temperatures are influencing diet and habitat use in moose, at the southern edge of their geographic range in North America. He is particularly interested in how temperature-induced changes to diet chemistry may influence habitat use and demographics in large herbivores.

Catherine Badgley is a paleontologist, ecologist, and farmer.She is a Professor in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and the Residential College at the University of Michigan.Her research concerns the ecology, evolution, and biogeography of mammals, the current biodiversity crisis, and sustainable agriculture.
