Open Repository débuts in Mexico with new Monterrey-based client

Open Repository is delighted to announce an agreement with the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey ( ITESM) to host their DSpace institutional repository.  ITESM is situated in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, and is attended by over one hundred thousand students. It is also home to thriving research and library communities. Until now, the repository has operated on an internally-hosted platform; however, ITESM recently made the decision to switch their hosting, customisation & additional development to Open Repository’s DSpace platform. In doing so they can focus resources on growing and managing the content in their repository.  Open Repository welcomes our latest Spanish-language client, and looks forward to launching the new repository in the coming months.

ITESM becomes Open Repository’s second Spanish language repository in Latin America, following the successful 2013 launch of the DELFOS repository at La Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), in Peru.

Open Repository builds, hosts and customises enhanced, DSpace repositories for institutions worldwide, enabling the institution to focus on managing and developing content within their repository. Through Open Repository and Open Repository Lite, clients can choose a package to suit their needs. Open Repository offers clients the full services required to successfully run a repository, while Open Repository Lite offers is aimed at small clients & those from emerging or developing countries, requiring a simple install at a cost effective price.  Open Repository is a DuraSpace Registered Service Provider and is offered by BioMed Central, the Open Access specialist.
