Dr Sally Dowling is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of the West of England, Bristol. She has a background in mental health nursing and public health. Her PhD, completed in 2013, looked at the experiences of women who breastfeed long-term and was driven by her experiences of breastfeeding her youngest two daughters. Her current breastfeeding interests and research projects focus on breastfeeding peer support and breastmilk sharing via the internet.
